Entangling and Disentangling Inquiry and Equity: Voices of Mathematics Education and Mathematics Professors

Professors of mathematics and education engage in inquiry, and, as teachers mathematics, they their students inquiry. How could this work be more equity-minded? After participating inquiry during a summer institute, 24 professors shared voices two interviews about how equity intertwine. These participants engaged co-writing process to equitably inquire together for paper. Findings are presented framework relationships between equity, which extend the previous Tang colleagues (2017), illustrating that (a) opportunities dilemmas always present (b) we can see (or in-equity) (occurring engaging inquiry), some conducted (the propose was toward greater equity). Contributions paper include intertwine, both teaching collaborative scholarship, an illustration equitable practice, through co-writing.
